It's all happening.

Well, first of all...

I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship! I got an internship!

I recently sent out a wave of emails to the most popular wedding venues in the area inquiring about internships or part-time jobs. I got a couple "we don't have opening"s, mostly no responses, but someone emailed me back, set up an interview, and I got the job during the interview!

So now I am the events intern at the Old Governor's Mansion!!!

I nearly burst into tears when she asked if I wanted to take the job. And my sweet friend Mattie put it best-"It's all happening!!" As the events director talked about what my job will entail I was struggling to not physically squirm and squeal. I get to help with bridal portraits, help brides find their vision for the mansion, bonus: I'll probably get to learn the tour and be a tour guide too!. This is the best part: I get to assist on events on the weekends!!! With real, live wedding coordinators. I want to cry I'm so excited.

So there it is. I have a job :-)

Yesterday was Valentine's Day! It was also Boyfriend and I's 2 year anniversary. I'm not usually a pink person, but yesterday I seemed to be. I made pink cupcakes, a pink valentine, and was even given pink flowers. So, in honor of the lovely occasion, some pink wedding trends/things I love!

1. BHLDN just launched, and along with the rest of the world, I'm smitten. 2. I <3 mason jars. There's just so many uses! 3. You can see this whole shoot at Green Wedding Shoes. So sweet. 4. I'm a sucker for Chinese lanterns. And in red? Yes please. 5. I really love the idea of having wooden letters at receptions for guests to spell out things and take pictures with. Like love :) 6. Who knew carnations could be so pretty?!
7. Pretty pink centerpieces! Also kind of obsessed with driftwood snuggled in there. 8. I need this headband. And I'm a big fan of brides incorporating their color scheme into their accessories. Perfect for a pink wedding!
